Cooking Class

Guests have the opportunity to fine tune their culinary skills and learn about various cooking techniques through an interactive cooking class held in the kitchen of El Chiringuito taught by our Executive Chef. Each participant will be involved throughout the whole process and will learn how to properly choose, clean, prepare, cook and enjoy the fish from start to finish. This educational experience will surely entertain and teach guests of all culinary skill levels.

Ancient Mayan Massage and Treatment Class

Our spa seminars are designed to educate and entertain guests on the benefits and differences between the various massage therapy treatments offered at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita. During these seminars, our expert therapists will demonstrate various techniques on guests. Massage therapy modalites covered include, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage massage, sports massage, Thai massage and Mayan massage.

Temazcal

Temazcal is a pre-Hispanic sauna ritual that is conducted by an authentic Shaman, who guides you through the various stages of this unforgettable experience. This ancient treatment takes place within a Sascab structure and provides an aromatic steam bath with herbal essences to cleanse the body and spirit.

This treatment differs from traditional steam baths and sweat lodges because Temazcal ceremonies were, and still are, used as a therapeutic healing method in indigenous medicine practices.

Our enrichment philosophy extends to our natural world, too. Ecology experts can take you on explorations of the coral reefs, visits with mangrove and agave farmers, even for a swim with dolphins and rare glimpses of turtle hatching-and-release programs.
