Thalassotherapy
Thalassotherapy, coming from the Greek words, "thalasso" meaning "sea water" and "therapia" meaning "therapy" is exactly its meaning: sea water therapy. Thalassotherapy is based on the use of the marine world and sea water as therapeutic agents for purposes such as anti-aging regiments, skin care, massage therapy and more.

Thalassotherapy is also rich in vitamins, proteins, and minerals and provides the body with antibiotic, antiviral, antitumor and antioxidant properties


Thalassotherapy Integration
The effects that thalassotherapy has on the body depends on the temperature of the sea water that is being used. The following are options offered at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita:

Thalassotherapy Application Methods
At the spa at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita, guests can experience thalassotherapy through the following methods:
Pool: The heated sea water pool provides mineral-medicinal effects, provides a deep relaxation facilitating the release of muscle contractions and a decongestion of the circulatory and lymphatic systems.

Pool & Jets: The sea water massage jets emphasize the therapy to the body areas that need it most, with the benefit of a stimulating effect for the circulatory system while providing skin revitalization.

Hydro Massage: Using a controlled and computerized method, the air and water jets are applied with pressure in a sea water tube with warm or mild temperatures. These jets of micro-algae's and essential oils provide a muscular relaxation and relieve circulatory problems.

Algae's & Marine Muds: The thermal effects of algae and marine muds are the most efficient complement to activate the benefits of sea water. Algae's and marine muds are offered in tubes or with a massage under the Vichy shower jets, with marine water. Algae's and marine muds can also be applied through body wraps and facial treatments. The main purpose of algae and marine mud is to balance the skin functions including hydration, toning, mineralization and nurturing tissue.


Thalasso Seawater Treatment
As part of your benefits of Endless Privileges®, guests will be treated to a complimentary Thalasso Seawater Treatment. The treatment begins with a welcome ritual in the steam room, to soothe and loosen muscles followed by a Thalassotherapy Saltwater Pool treatment to open pores and relax muscles. Next, guests will enjoy a brief Kneip therapy, a therapeutic alternating application of hot and cold water to revitalize the body and immune system and promote detoxification.
